Most Popular Teen Girl Costume as seen on The Morning Show UNBELIEVABLE

I sat down to feed the baby and had a few minutes to spare for t.v., which is very unusual. Anyway, caught the end of The Morning Show and they were talking with someone from Yahoo who was talking about most popular costumes for different age ranges. The most popular costume , the one most googled, for a teen girl is a PLAYBOY BUNNY!!!!! They think that this is the case because of the show The Girl Next Door..

I would kill my daughter if she wore this costume or watched that program. Isn't there something wrong with this. I don't get it.

If you would like to see the link click here

To top it off, they said this is the second year in a row. There is something seriously wrong with that.

Dinner Tonight was Amazing, Brown Rice and Lentil Casserole

I saw this on Grocery Cart Challenge's Menu plan for the week. Decided to try it out on the family. THEY LOVED IT...I LOVED IT...its a keeper.

For the recipe go here

Before the cheese was added.

Getting ready to dig in.

The family that prays together, stays together!

You would think that the combination would not be good or the ingredients...but it was really, really, really delicious, very budget friendly and very filling. My 8-year-old even ate it all. BONUS!!!!

Fast and Easy and SOOOO Good Lasagna.

You will need:

1 lb ground beef (I used very lean ground beef)
1 onion
8 lasagna noodles
25 oz jar of spaghetti sauce. (I used two pouches of the new Bertolli Premium Spag sauce).
16 oz cottage cheese (I used fat free Kroger brand)
4 cups Mozzarella (this was a lot and you could use less)

Chop up onion, brown ground beef and onion and drain. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer through. Spray a 9 x 13 dish with cooking spray. Place 4 lasagna noodles in dish, three going length-wise and then break the one to fit going width-wise. Spread across noodles of the hamburger mixture, then half of the cottage cheese and then half the mozzarella cheese. Then repeat the noodles, hamburger, cottage cheese and end with the rest of mozzarella. Put foil over top, spray foil with cooking spray so cheese does not stick. Bake at 350 for one hour. Poke lasagna to make sure noodles are done. Let sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Enjoy. This was so good. This took me no time to put together, maybe 30 minutes if that.

Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

I should be absolutely embarrassed. I am posting what needs to be done on this tackle it Tuesday. I guess this is my way of keeping myself accountable, plus my sink will be so happy when I am done.

Get your sunglasses out cause it sure is clean. The angels are singing because I got my sink done. I even added flowers to my picture. That is because my hubby who bought the flowers earlier in the week replaced them so my autumn vase would have new ones..so I took what was still good and made a little arrangement for the sink.

My new flowers are called candy corn daisies....I LOVE THEM and I love the person who gave them to me.

I've Been Tagged

I was tagged by the coupon nerd at www.couponnerd.blogspot.com. I appreciate the nice compliment and am flattered. Now on to the rules for being tagged.

These are the rules for tagging...
1) Link back to the person who tagged you and share the rules on your blog
2) Share 7 facts about yourself
3) Tag seven people and list their links in your post
4) Tell those 7 people by commenting on their blog!

Here are my 7 Facts...

I enjoy knitting, but have yet to finish something.

My favorite season is fall, you may be able to tell from my blog.

I totally LOVE photography. I would like to take some classes some day.

My husband says I am like snow white when it comes to outdoor animals. I tend to feed them a lot of peanuts and will have bluejays, cardinals, squirrels, and chipmunks and the occasional tiny mouse...all at one time.

I am addicted to Tim Hortons coffee.

I have recently developed a donut fetish...which I must correct for my rear is starting to look like a giant pumpkin and my hubby is threatening an intervention.

I can sing and also play piano, but piano is not one I have done in a while.

I am tagging these blogs....

Homeschool Thoughts

I was not able to make it to the homeschool meeting at church this past month. Our pastor spoke to the group and I got an e-mail with some of the points he made. Although I did not hear the whole thing, the points still spoke to me. He has 8 children and all of them were homeschooled or are being homeschooled by his wife.

Here are his thoughts discussed at meeting...

1. Remember why you're doing this. God gave the directions for educating our children in Deuteronomy 6 and there is a stream running all through the Bible of family promises. You can weather the difficulties if the roots of conviction are deep enough.

2. Don't impose "school" on the home. Interruptions can be opportunities for true education. The education of our children can be put in three general categories: Discipleship(learning to follow Jesus), Apprenticeship (learning to work), Courtship (preparing to marry "in the faith"). (We didn't discuss the latter) Firefly Principal: The darker the night, the brighter the light shines.

3. Remember that God is more devoted to our children's success than we parents will ever be. Stay close to God the Father so He can tell you what to do with your children.

I wish I had made it for the whole thing now ;)

AWESOME CD

I just have to say that nothing inspires me like Celine Dion and her music. It gives me such a nice getaway from being a Wife and Mom. I highly recommended her newest CD Taking Chances. Awesome!!!
